City of Kitchener includes communities of Ayr, Branchton, Clyde, Reidsville and Roseville. It also contains rural clusters and hamlets such as Brown, Clarkson, Dickie One, Dickie Two, Dumfries, Greenfield, Hall, H’Ayritage, Highway Twenty-Four, Innanen, Lockie, Mackie, McLean, Morrison, Orr’s Lake, Parker, Plumtree, Ranchlands, Riverview, Taylor, Wrigley and Young.

First settlers came to the area in 1816. The Township of North Dumfries is 187.44 km²  (72.37 sq mi) and has a population of 10,215 .

WHAT IS IT FAMOUS FOR?

rare is a Charitable Research Reserve of more than 900 acres of nature reserve dedicated to conservation, research, and environmental education. The reserve features great bio diversity with some of its trees being 240 years old. The reserve is open to public for free.

• Heritage Walking Tours

The festival is held annually on the last weekend in May. It features an auction sale of handmade quilts, local Mennonite and Amish foods and musical performances.

• Snyder’s Family Farm and Fear Farm

The festival is held every year in August and is Canada’s largest all Mopar Car Show. It features around 2000 cars and attracts about 20,000 car enthusiasts every year! It offers its visitors food tents, beer gardens and cruise nights.
